We are ONE!
When I was a kid, my mom made birthday celebrations extra special for our entire family. I remember popping out of bed like a piece of toast on birthday mornings; anxious to find out what surprises Mom had up her sleeve for me. Without fail, our bathroom was decorated with bright balloons, twisted streamers and “Happy Birthday Mandy” written in bright red lipstick on the mirror. From the moment I opened my eyes to the moment they closed, I felt like the entire day was a joyful celebration. Although today is not my birthday, we are celebrating Palms of Joy like it is! My mom is even coming into town to celebrate this weekend. 😊 She still has a way of making us feel special.
Y’all - thank you SO much for supporting the blog this year. I started Palms of Joy as a way to serve and encourage you in your faith, but you are the ones who encourage me! I’ve grown so much through writing and will continue to perfect my craft to bring you really cool, challenging, fun blogs in the next year. Ultimately, I hope to offer any help I can when it comes to learning about Jesus. I don’t know everything and still have a lot to learn, but I want you to feel like we are in this together; learning, growing and navigating faith as a team. That is what Palms of Joy is all about.
So today, we celebrate! We celebrate Jesus, joy, encouragement, community, friendship and love. We celebrate growth, humility, hard work and chasing dreams. I truly believe the best is yet to come.
