God is a creator, and also a creative.
As someone who creates content, I find myself searching for fresh, original ways to present material. There are days I stare at my computer screen and my mind goes completely blank. You’ve been here too, right?
Whether you’re trying to spark the interest of a customer, write a thoughtful email, or keep the attention of your children while homeschooling, we’ve all felt mentally wiped clean of ideas!
Romans 1:20 reminds me that God is the ultimate creator, and He can continually create through us when we rely on Him.
The verse says, “For ever since the world was created, people have seen the earth and sky. Through everything God made, they can clearly see his invisible qualities - his eternal power and divine nature. So they have no excuse for not knowing God. (NLT)”
Isn’t it crazy to think that all of the earth points to the glory of God? His creation shows His creativity. And, because we are made in His image, pieces of us mirror pieces of Him.
If He delicately pieced together something as beautiful as a flower, a vibrant fall leaf, mountain landscapes, and miles of clear blue ocean water, then He can surely create something unique through you and me when we trust Him.
Through everything God made, we can see His invisible qualities made visible. His kindness, goodness, and holiness are in plain sight when we pause to see.
If you’re craving inspiration or a creative refresh, I encourage you to get outside and take a look around. Give yourself a breather and remember who made you; a perfect, Heavenly Father who wants to give His thoughts and ideas to you.
So, just for fun: Think of the most beautiful places you’ve seen. How do those places display God’s divine, creative nature to you?
